To the millions around the world who know and love his work, Jim Henson (1936-1990) is more than just the creator of the Muppets; he’s practically a member of the family. Whether it’s Muppets, Fraggles, Gelflings, or Goblin Kings, Jim Henson and his creations have educated, entertained, and inspired generations.
Brian is thrilled to be working on the first full-length biography of the legendary performer and entertainer, with the generous cooperation of the Henson family and the Jim Henson Legacy. The biography will be published by Random House/Ballantine, and is scheduled for release on September 24, 2013 — Jim Henson’s 77th birthday.
In the meantime, you can catch a sneak peek of Brian at work, as he researches, interviews, travels, and writes. It’s not exactly Where’s Waldo?, but you can click here to see Brian’s Jim Henson Journal.
